2014 Festival Program
First Sansusī!!!! First time for us, first time for visitors, where we ourselves were not sure how, what would be, whether it would work, whether anyone would want to experience something like that. But the result was intoxicating – 1 kg of culture from the Latvian Television and Radio Awards in Culture! The program mostly features only Latvian artists, except for guests from Turkey – tenor Murat Karahan with concertmaster Seçil Saygan and Lithuanian jazz singer Algirdas Šuminskas. The idea of combining two festival formats – the atmosphere of a small rock festival and the content of an academic chamber music festival – is working. Visitors are surprised, we are too, inspiration for next year’s festival has been gained, the next festival will be!

15.34 Joke by alphabet
Can learning the alphabet be interesting and exciting? The book “A Joke of the Alphabet” by artist Indra Sproģe, published in December 2010, proved that it can be done – it turns out that it is possible to play with letters very well. And this game is very popular not only with children, but also with puppet theater actors, who, together with director Vija Blūzma, decided to make a play based on the joke.
The witty characters from the book come to life in the play – a round apple baking slippers for a pear tree, an eagle taking pictures of a family of snails on a fir tree, and many others, which help children quickly learn and remember the complex alphabet in a visual, associative and playful way.

Musical drawing performance.
Tales of A. Neibarts and A. Kivirehkas.
The performance begins with a quote chosen by the audience from the offered poetry books. The actors read the poem several times in different intonations, The drawing begins from the poetry association on the outer surfaces of the board, then one by one the inside opens and the drawing continues from the drawing association on the outer surface. A circle is formed and through the inner opening we return to the outer surface. The musicians give the associations and drawing turns to the performance at any moment.
